Deer skin drum

This is one of the 'Holy Tree Workshop trademark drums'.
Both the skin design as well as the gemstone woven directly into the lacing are complex methods which I-over the years- evolved into a unique artform. 
It still is, however, a very lengthy procedure with many small and bigger steps involved for such a drum to come into existence.
Due to the unpredictability of the natural materials I work with, not always this process ends up successfully. 
This one did!
