Dragonfly

Well, I just like everything about this instrument and seeing it unfolding under my hands I also took good care to spend all the time needed for it to be so. 
There is the depth of the turquoise color, mystery, elegance and perfection symbolized in the dragonfly, stunningly shimmering, color-changing labradorite gemstone in dark oak wood giving that excellent, warm and smooth holding, size of the frame, weight of the drum and the sound… 
The oak wood which the stone sits in was a chunk salvaged long time ago by an old man from an old shipwreck out on the sea next to a Danish island.
It sat on a shelf until he gifted it to me after having build his own drum under my guidance. It had a very special, salty-smokey smell to it when carving it. 
This drum just has a story.
