After many years I found a resource of skins with hair left! 
The hair gives a very special character to the sound making the 'muffled', removing the higher pitched frequencies, accentuating the low spektra of sound. 
As the vibration moves over the skin surface, it makes the hair shake against each other adding very soft rustling sound.
