Elderberry in Japanese kumoi scale

A very unusual flute in my shop! 
The ‘kumoi’ is one of many traditional scale of Japan, made on a bass flute with thick bore gives this one a profound physical resonance, touch of a real magnificence.   
There is something of a zen quality in this instrument, some mystery, longing, heartache..
